THE MOUSE MANSION

In The Mouse Mansion Mini Museum in the old centre of Amsterdam you'll find the original decors of the Mouse Mansion books. Come and see the secret hiding place underneath the stairwell and be amazed by all the details of Circus Roberti and the mouse fair. Have you ever seen a miniature rollercoaster? Pay Grandpa Sailor a visit at the harbour and explore the large warehouses, canals, docks, bridges and boats. You've never seen so many mice going about their business! Ascend to the first floor to admire the impressive decors from the book The Museum up close and learn how to create your very own Mouse Mansion. We'd be delighted to give you advice! Our entire range of books, cuddly toys, and craft supplies is readily available in our shop.

TRAVELLING BY CAR?

The Mini Museum is located in the very centre of Amsterdam. It can be quite challenging to find a parking spot, and when you do, parking fees are steep. Paid parking near the museum is best in the Kalverstraat. A cheaper option for travellers by car is parking at a P + R on the outskirts of the city. You can then travel into the city centre by public transport. A great way to see some of our enchanting capital.

TRAVELLING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT?

The Mini Museum is very easily reached by public transportation. From Central Station it is about a 20 minute walk for adults. Along the route you will cross the famous Dam and walk along the popular main street Kalverstraat or the more quiet Rokin. Or reach the museum shop from Central Station within a few minutes via tram 2, 12 , 24 (stop Koningsplein / Muntplein) or metro 52 towards South (first stop Rokin).

accessibility

The Mini Museum in the heart of Amsterdam is set up in a historic building. The entrance has a threshold of approximately 20 cm and the door is 113 cm wide.
